Alexa and festify app1/25/2024 For instance, the LG SmartThinQ hub and the Pebble Core wearable come with Alexa support. Amazon's Fire TV set-top box and Fire HD 8 tablet also support Alexa.Īs part of its effort to broaden Alexa's appeal, Amazon also has allowed some third parties to support Alexa. However, Amazon also has brought the smart assistant to other home hubs, such as the Echo Dot and the Tap. Amazon Alexa perhaps delivers the best experience on the Amazon Echo. As machine learning becomes more sophisticated, look for Alexa to become more intelligent. However, because it's a cloud-based service, Amazon is continually updating Alexa's intelligence to overcome some challenges. Like other virtual assistants, Alexa has its fair share of trouble understanding user commands and responding accurately. This app is probably fine if you have one or two devices, but for a company that wants you to buy into their complete eco system and fill your house with their hardware they really need to re-design this app from the ground up because it lets them down big time.Alexa was popularized by the Amazon Echo, a device that acts both as a speaker and a smart-home hub, but also works on many other devices. Why not have them all in one place on one screen so you can get the sound just right? And why the bass, treble and mid are in a different order on some devices compared to others is a bit of a mystery too. It takes 4 clicks to get to the section where you can adjust the bass, treble and mid which is at least two too many in my opinion, then you have to do that for each individual device which, when you have quite a few devices, becomes tedious at best. Nine times out of ten I have to close this app down as it gets all confused with commands and then spits its dummy out and becomes unresponsive like a toddler lying on the floor in Asda having a meltdown because it can’t have some sweets. I just don’t understand how the company with literally ALL the money haven’t got a super slick app by now. I’m up to 9 devices now including the Echo sub and 4K fire stick and can’t fault any of them (the sub being my absolute favourite addition), but wow this app needs a serious overhaul. ![]() I never have an issue with my cameras so not sure why I constantly have issues with Alexa Any internet connection should be enough to dial back into my home network. Tempted to go back to a standard DAB if this app doesn’t get sorted! I don’t get why it doesn’t want to work from afar. Great! However, sometimes the stations playing can go off or there may be an error and a quick change in station resolves that… when I’m home!! I can’t properly monitor from afar to make sure everything is still playing as it should be.ĩ/10 it will tell me it cannot load and to refresh the app! So should it go off the dogs can hear everything and will bark. But when the speakers play it calms them and covers these noises. I have thin windows so they can hear everything. ![]() When I go out I put the echos and dots on for the dogs to have a little background noise. If I’m remote on WiFi or 4g I’m constantly having to refresh, close fully, then reopen, update if needed, and so on just to get it to show me what’s online, what’s playing etc. if I’m at home on WiFi, I can load everything up immediately. I use the app to control various devices in the house & make groups etc. Call or message supported Alexa-enabled devices, at no additional costīy using this app, you agree to Amazon’s Conditions of Use (and all of the terms found here (Please see our Privacy Notice (31l3.M.Use Drop In from your app to connect instantly with your compatible Echo devices, like a two-way intercom.View and edit shopping and to-do lists on the go, get weather and news updates, manage timers and alarms, and more.Create speaker groups to play music across your compatible Echo devices for multi-room music.Choose a song or playlist and listen on your Alexa-enabled devices Connect to music services like Amazon Music, Pandora, Spotify, TuneIn, and iHeartRadio.Create routines to automate your smart home devices.Set up your Alexa-enabled devices, control or check status of your compatible smart lights, locks and thermostats at home or on the go.Pick up where you left off directly from the home feed with lists, shopping, or recently played Music and Books.Discover and enable recommended Alexa skills.Get more out of your Echo device through personalized feature recommendations from Alexa. The more you use Alexa, the more she adapts to your voice, vocabulary and personal preferences.
