The happiest days of my life1/25/2024 ![]() Or good or bad, no childhood retrospective would be complete without devoting some time to that system which stretches over literal decades of a person’s formative years: Education. I know this got really wordy I am not great at explaining but think you have the basic idea.Song In A Sentence: Pink recounts how the teachers of his childhood would stop at nothing to eradicate individuality and humiliate their students, imagining, with bitter satisfaction, how the teachers would get their own karmic comeuppance when they got home. Normally what I do is put a butt connector on the stereo ground and crimp then in the other end crimp the ground from the dash and a long piece and crimp then the long ground your remote turn on and RCA all run to the Amp when you connect the remote and rca to the Amp stick that long ground under the terminal clamp as well as your large Amp ground. ![]() It makes it so that if one or the other has a slightly better path to ground they will share their better path otherwise ground will be found elsewhere often in the RCA and as power leaks it's way to the easiest path you get that whirring. You still have the stereo grounded like normal behind the dash and the Amp ground near the Amp but you have a small wire that links both of those. Now put a small piece of wire under the amps terminal with the large ground wire and run that wire with the Amp turn on and RCA and tap it into the ground behind the radio. Deck is wired to the dash Amp has a ground on a bolt near it's location with the paint scraped off. I took the main power lead and also ground of headunit and connected them both at the amplifier terminals to insure to minimize voltage offset difference between amp and headunit.īAM - suddenly speakers and sub got their full outputs plus no more noise after few months of suffering!!!Īlso as a side note - fuck every audio shop in my area which couldn't entertain the thought that it was a bad ground and just wanted to stick a noise filter to band aid the issue instead of actually spending time and working on the problem.īasically imagine your system is done.setting the gains correctly afterwards(instead of max maybe 1/3 and also got full output), had to disconnect the speakers from headunit or they would just burn at that volume. Two things solved my whining noise in my speakers: Well I was watching some videos about car audio ground and shit when I suddenly realized that I hadn't tested the voltage coming out of my RCA.Īfter testing it and didn't facepalm I had to punch myself with a brick turns out at 45/62 the voltage wasn't even close to 2v(max clean) heck it wasn't even past 1v only at 62/62 it was 2.05v. Stupid me set the gains at 45 for the amp thinking it was also the clipping point of RCAs so I had to crank up the gains all the way up. Well it was starting to clip at 45 out of 62 volume. Previously I had tested the head unit with a 1000hz test tone to see when it started to clip with the 2 speakers. I have 6 speakers in my car plus a sub, which 2 of them are wired directly to the head unit and not amp. Previously I had made a post crying for help about having a whining issue in my car amplified speakers and for not getting enough output out of my amplifier to the speakers and sub. r/electricvehicles - For electric vehicles r/diyaudio - Audio Projects & talk For the DIY'er r/soundsystem - PA's, Concert Rigs, Road Gear r/hometheater - For the HomeTheater lovers r/audiophile - Strictly High Fidelity discussion r/CarAVvendors - CarAV vendor info/deals r/CarAVclassifieds - CarAV's trading hub Please remember to restrict product promotion posts to 10% or less of your total combined self and link posts as per reddit spam guidelines.
